Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.
Put that sunshine on me featuring (Jon Brion and Spankrock) (Kensho Remix)

Don't mistake this website for one with breaking news on new artists or anything like that. I guarantee we're a couple weeks or months behind on some of the things we post.
This entry, on the other hand, is gonna be a little different than my previous ones. I'm not really pushing a certain artist here, although both of the dudes on the cover of the latest Fader are absolutely fantastic. This one's about one of my favorite magazines as of late, Fader. Its newest issue includes some former posts of mine (White Williams, Deerhunter, Yeasayer) with a few future posts (Simian Mobile Disco, Cass McCombs).
Basically, a magazine with great articles, fantastic writers and dope music altogether. Huge recommendation on my part for you guys to check this out.

Happy Thanksgiving from William S. Burroughs
0 Comments Published by Mike on Thursday, November 22, 2007 at 4:28 PM.Mr. Burroughs and I hope that all of you who read this blog have a happy Thanksgiving. Mr. Burroughs even put together this heart felt prayer for those Americans who celebrate this glorious holiday. We can all find something that we are thankful for if we try. Peace.

Daedelus, Busdriver, Pigeon John. OH MY!
0 Comments Published by Mike on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 3:28 PM.Sorry I have'nt posted anything in a while; school has sucked and I've had no time for anything. In times as shitty as these, I usually turn to music to make me feel better about the world. This is why I wanted to post this video; its fucking amazing. Maybe it will even help you out with your shitty day. It could happen-I mean seriously. Daedelus, Busdriver, and Pigeon John, all in the same video? Would you even need any other persuasive tactics to make you watch and listen? Enjoy and have a great day. Peace

So there's this band from Jacksonville that goes by the name of The Black Kids. Only two of which are black as you can see, and only one of the four is truly 100% black. I don't intend on making an issue out of any of this, because it's not, but it is hard to overlook a thing like that when you've got a name such as they do.
Anyways, despite the name, The Black Kids have recently released a great little EP called, Wizard of Ahhhs, and boy is this thing bumping. Now I hate doing shit like this, but if I were to dabble a little recipe of sounds to come up with The Black Kids' sound, I'd say traces of old 50's and 60's Doo-Wop, maybe some 80's synth, and I can't help but say a touch of Beat Happening (or just twee pop in general). Each of those on its own are fantastic, but put that shit together in a band and you've got some real action.
So everyone put your dancing shoes on and check out The Black Kids! And if you like what you hear down below, the band's got their other two tracks from the EP on the oh so necessary Myspace.
Enjoy, guys!

DON!

Well, shit, it looks like quite a bit's gone down on this site since my last post. I guess I'll take a quick opportunity to welcome Michael and Don on to the blog. It's definitely tight to have some extra help updating this, and hearing some more music courtesy of those two dudes is something I'm more than looking forward to.
But let me get back to business and talk about another artist I've been digging lately. Now judging from that photo you guys wouldn't guess that HEALTH is a noise rock band, huh? Well, turns out they are, and their new self titled album is fucking banging.
These dudes have also received the Midas touch in the form of a Crystal Castles remix (whom I've previously posted on). In fact, the remix turned out to be one of CC's best, which is quite the accomplishment seeing as how Crystal Castles release some of the best remixes I've ever heard.
But give these guys a listen. And if you're feeling them, buy the album off the link above, or Itunes, Amazon, 180 Grams? Pick your poison. But between you and me, I'd say hit up 180. Also thanks to tiltedcervix for hosting the MP3.
Enjoy your fucking Monday. And enjoy fucking HEALTH.

I'm always in my car; going to school or work is the general destination. But I always have my MP3 player on one of the 5 playlists that it contains, one of which is entitled "drive fast", and you can bet that Arab on Radar is right there on that playlist next to Lightning Bolt and The Spark. The only problem with this playlist is it really requires you to drive fast but sometimes its impossible because of fucking San Antonio traffic. But to reaffirm my main point, go check out Arab on Radar's album "The Stolen Singles" and drive fast; or at least attempt to. Here is a video from the album entitled "7.2", enjoy. Peace.

I had the opportunity to catch Cadence Weapon at the Fun Fun Fun Festival this past weekend and I have to say it was one of the best of the festival. He put on one of the sickest shows I've seen in a while and I'll admit, I was dancing a bit; with his blend of fast paced lyrics and funky beats it is hard not to. Check out his debut album Breaking Kayfabe and this fucking amazing video of "Sharks." Peace

Yesterday I thought about how awesome it'd be to be a fucking Indian back in, like, the 1800s or some shit. Riding around bareback on a horse like Cochise wearing a headdress with a fucking tomahawk on my waist. I'd shoot bows and arrows at cowboys, scalp dudes and all that. Shit totally kills being a thug or gangster nowadays. I'd chant along doing peyote and shit with my fellow Indians, and probably would like to jam to something along the lines of Yeasayer.
Yeasayer are a group of dudes from Brooklyn. They make really good music; and I need to throw Jesse at 180 a huge shout out and thanks for introducing me to them.
I'm gonna kind of keep this one short granted I need to get packing for this weekend's Fun Fun Fun Fest. I'll try to shoot some photos for you guys, but don't hold me to it.
Until then, please enjoy the tunes via Yeasayer.
